On the way back from the Mezcal tasting, we were treated to a beautifully lit basilica.

While we were sitting at the bar, the maker of the moonshine Mezcal came by to drop off more bottles. Juan could not have been nicer and he even shared a shot of his own creation with us!

Armando had us try some Mezcal that wasn’t exactly legal – it had everything regular Mezcal had except the government labels. Great stuff!

Armando led us through a tasting of Mezcals. He also engaged us in some great conversation. In all, we were here for over 4 hours!

Craft beer is getting bigger in Mexico, but still has a way to go. Our hotel had a brewery from Guanajuato – the beers weren’t very good but at least we got to try them.

Got some candy to try and saw these – Las Charamuscas. They are hard candy molded into the shape of people.

Pretty cool little spot on the bridge here. We were lucky to snag one of the two tables so we could eat and watch the people go by.

It might be hot, but we stay cool..

There was a spot on the floor that directed us to take a selfie in this spot.. when in Rome..

Surprised to find a mummy that looked an awful lot like Linds! Right down to the clothes..
